It was a crisp morning here in Northern Vermont this morning, with a forecast of temperatures in the low 30s and a killing frost tonight. Ah, summer… it was fun while it lasted, which wasn’t very long.
But cool temperatures, changing leaves and almost 2,000 students back on campus means that the fall issue of Saint Michael’s College Magazine is in the works. We expect the magazine to be in readers’ mailboxes before Halloween. We have feature stories in the works on Alex Okosi, an alumnus who is now heading up MTV Africa; what the first few months after graduation have been like for a few of our outstanding recent graduates; coverage on just what first-year students are bringing to college in 2008 (hint: a lot more than you’d think!); news of student-faculty research funded by tne National Science Foundation; an exploration of why Classics still matter (and why Erasmus can be so annoying) and a whole lot more.
We’re delighted that the new magazine blog has been so well received. Please keep your comments about the magazine coming. I appreciate each and every one. Happy Fall!

An update: Expect the Fall issue of Saint Michael’s College Mgaazine in mid-November.
